Martial Arts Excellence Programme launch

Updated: May 3, 2021

Saracens Martial Arts and Sandwell Tae Kwon Do have joined forces to offer a martial arts excellence programme for the community primarily for children aged 5-12.

The clubs programme will focus on the core martial arts values of perseverance, respect, discipline, focus and self defence.

Adults are returning to classes on April 10th in West Bromwich for an outdoor class.

With lockdown lasting 12 months the effects on everyone’s mental and physical health has been significant.

Instructors Ken Hoult and Claire Southall hope to combat the negative implications of lockdown by offering the community two weeks free training at Saracen’s Martial Arts, 90 High Street, Dudley, DY1 1PQ and at West Bromwich Leisure Centre, Moor Street, B70 7AZ.

We have students ranging from 5 years old to 65 years old who all use the centre and we are delighted to be able to offer them a safe place to train.

The gyms have undergone a deep clean with all the mats being sanitised and equipment cleaned to ensure we are covid safe.

We hope that the community will support Saracens Martial Arts and Sandwell TKD by coming along for a free martial arts trial to kick start their fitness routines after lockdown.

We are quietly confident that our students will be back competing on the national stage next year as long as infection rates continue to drop and the government authorises large event gatherings.
